SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif- The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, in a unanimous decision, approved a 45 day moratorium which places an immediate hold on any pending gun retailers looking to open up shop in unincorporated areas of Santa Cruz County.
That 45 day moratorium is so county supervisors can meet with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department, County Planning Department officials, local gun retailers and the public to discuss long term regulations for gun shops and clubs in the county.
The county is analyzing whether or not they need stricter regulations than what is imposed federally and by the state.

Before last year I'd have faith in the SCOTUS eventually saving us but not now. Not after learning what kind of jurist the honorable John Roberts really is.
Passed through there last summer. All over the west we wwere able to do anything with no problems. Stopped for the night at a hotel we found on priceline.
Never encountered so many aggressive drunken ferral youths before. Spent the night, saw the pier, and hit the road.
Where is a new gun store going to get it’s inventory?
Had a friend in NW Arkansas who went to Academy to buy some .223 ammo today. He said they had four boxes but would only sell him two. He went back when there was another clerk and bought the other two.
I heard there might be a new gun store in Marina, but now...?
Dunno....
Why not a moratorium on say, fast food restaurants or bars. Because we all know those will kill us as well.
I swear the whole damn country is going to hell, hell, hell.

There isn’t a store contemplating opening in Santa Booze any time soon.
