My personal belief is that the war on guns is a cover for something else, but that’s just me being cynical.
I was thinking along the same lines, but right now, my theory is that O is overloading the system with his agenda. Hell, the debt ceiling is a distraction from the gun debate, and the gun debate is a distraction from the debt ceiling. And it's all a distraction from the implementation of Obamacare, and so on. He's going for broke and is making his big play. The GOP traitors, fools, jackasses, and pussies in Congress will be outmaneuvered, shouted down, and overwhelmed. They will be playing their stupid little "go along to get along" game and seeking their precious "dialogue" and "compromise", while a dictator in the making is blowing past them at 100 mph.
The gun issue is critically important to this administration, make no mistake. They've pursued it like crazy, and NEED to use it to demonize, criminalize, and ultimately disarm their enemies.
