Rhonda Hight was at a gun show with her husband but she wasnt looking for a gun, she was looking for a purse to carry one in. All they had was these little type, cheap bags that didnt have any design or anything like that she told KRMG news.
That made Rhonda think about a way to start a business and fill a need all at the same time. After a little checking around she found a line of bags and began talking to them I started giving them some feedback on what they dont have she said.
That led to more stylish bags and a new career for Rhonda who is now called The Bag Lady of Tulsa. Yes, Rhonda sells purses designed specifically for women to carry a gun in and sales are good Ive had really big success with them she began. Ive sold quite a bit of them, especially with all the talk of the Second Amendment.

My wife has a small collection of them. I could probably make more money selling those than selling of the guns!

Purse is a bad idea for carry. Too easily snatched.
It’s best concealed under your clothing or in a pocket holster, if you have a small enough piece.

Is she more likely to use this protection against government or muggers?

Not easy to draw from, either.
I've done some training using a murse/jack bauer bag, and it was not fast.

Not easy to draw from, either. Really?
Have you ever seen or handled a womens' purse specifically designed for carrying a handgun?

Mrs. Submareener sees no need to draw to shoot from her purse. The store said they would give her a new one if she ever had to shoot through it. For revolvers only, of course!

Too easily snatched.
Maybe in high crime areas, but purse snatch and runs are rare in rural America.

The store said they would give her a new one if she ever had to shoot through it. That's not the store policy, is it? A new purse if the occasion arises that a lady has to shoot through it? G-d forbid they throw in a new pair of shoes, as well...

I think it sux. Women carry purses to conceal their pistol/revolver of choice, but if I put on a medium green or gray belt bag with a quick action zipper to conceal...everyone laughs and says, "Hey, the 80s called...they want their fanny pack back!"
It just ain't fair I tell ya.

Purse is a bad idea for carry. Too easily snatched. Not if you carry it correctly, with the strap over the opposite shoulder and the bag in front.
This is the ideal solution for the small framed woman who just can't conceal a handgun of any decent size without wearing hideously baggy clothing.

My wife uses a fanny pack. It’s a compromise. Not as easy to snatch as a purse, and access to the piece is virtually instantaneous, due to the pull-away velcro container.
I use an inside-the-pocket holster with a small .380 (ppk/s).
