Adam Lanza was essentially fatherless. No man was in the home, checking things out, locking things up, helping out the mother when the kid was acting strange. Her burden was probably SO huge even SHE didn’t realize it.
A father is ESPECIALLY important in these homes. What if the Dad had been home that morning? Heard him coming down the hall with the gun?
It takes TWO, no matter what. But the “norm” now is just one. Single moms also are notorious for becoming “friends” with their kids and not parents. Single mom is lonely, uses the kids for companionship she otherwise would have had with the father.
I have a special needs son. Our lives would have fallen apart had he left us. I’m not sure where I would have ended up.

To add, here we have Barack Obama — by his very existence he at least models an example of marriage and fatherhood to many blacks ...but they seem to continue in their ghetto single parenthood — and BO seems to encourage them to do so.
Don’t get it. If he would have made THIS his single #1 issue, he perhaps could have built a strong legacy for himself — but he’s just pitiful, like all the others.
It's rather like sticking your head in a lion's mouth every day for a decade or so. It didn't bite yesterday or the day before or the thousands of days before that, so...it isn't really a lion at all, it's just a sweet old kitty that loves me loves me loves me!
