The ballerinas at that level are so athletic that I would certainly avoid getting in a fight with one. They don’t need to scratch and claw. They could just rip one’s head off.
I sure hope your a girl, and not apparently scared of ballerina’s..
lol
On top of that, they are always hungry.
You didn’t read the article at all, did you?
Do I really need the sarc tag?
boy ballerinas, cat fight, do I have to spell it out?
Most male ballet dancers are heterosexual, FWIW.
So are most stage and movie actors. Travolta and Cruise are manly hetro men, for example.
This article has nothing to say about “boy ballerinas”, yet for some reason you seem obsessed with the concept. Are you all right?
“This article has nothing to say about boy ballerinas”
Can’t you read? From the article...
“Sergei Filin, a 42-year-old former ballet star”
“officials said the man was masked”
“He said Filin’s car tires had been slashed earlier this week and he was targeted in early January by hackers who posted his professional correspondence online”
“Several stars at the Bolshoi including Nikolai Tsiskaridze, one of its most celebrated dancers, have complained about what they call Filin’s unfair treatment of dancers at the theater.”
Nikolai is a guys name. Enough examples?
42 years old is no boy.
Look — ballet is evidently not your thing. It isn’t mine either, but I’ve learned a bit about it from my wife, who used to dance, including with Russians. They are passionate about classical dance, and take great national pride in their country’s prominence in this art form. Unlike the United States which is self-consciously lowbrow, high art in Russia has a popular following, with many people caring deeply and personally about artists and their performance. Big money, big egos, and big politics all collide, including underworld oligarchs bringing their unique sense of competitiveness.
Your insistence on viewing this attack as a catfight among mincing nancy-boys exposes a regrettable ignorance and provincialism on your part. Why you feel it necessary to view the report in such terms is something only you can answer.
For the record, my wife says the word is that most Russian male dancers are voraciously heterosexual.
I was reporting what my wife had heard. Despite being quite clear on that point, you could not refrain from making, and then repeating, a vile insult. You disgust me. Do not address me again.
“my wife says the word is that most Russian male dancers are voraciously heterosexual.”
I made no vile insult. I said that your wife is more qualified to judge than we are. That is exactly what you said. You’ve called me ignorant. You’ve asked if I have a problem. You’ve said I didn’t read the article. All I’ve done is point you in the right direction in the article and clarify my sarcasm. I have not called you or your wife any names. Sorry you are miss reading. God Bless you and your wife and have a nice night.
