FLASHBACK: In 1999, Obama wouldnt support tougher prosecution for school shooters
__________________________________________________________
In 1999, State Senator Barack Obama voted present on a bill that would require adult prosecution for discharging a gun in or near a school.
That legislation came as a response to the tragic Columbine High School shooting that year.
SB 759 provided that anyone 15 years of age or older charged with aggravated battery with a weapon in school or within 1,000 feet of a school would be charged as an adult.
It passed the Illinois State Senate in a 52-1 vote, with 5 members voting present including Obama.
That vote followed a trend for the young lawmaker, whose controversial votes on crime legislation often raised eyebrows.
A Chicago Tribune editorial even accused Obama of being a gutless sheep for missing a vote on crime legislation in late 1999.
Hussein’s background check kinda sucks.
Man. Daniel Greenfield is on a roll. Truly great work.
Gun Violence is Not a Republican Problem, It's a Democratic Problem

The reason is that THOSE school shooters, were of the same anti-colonialist mindset as Obama.
Obama would join them, except he has a much larger target.
It is one of the eccentricities of leftists that they are opposed to strict punishment of minor criminals, no matter how savage.
Perhaps the most glaring example of this was found in Bernie Madoff. Among the “charities” he generously supported with other peoples’ money, what stands out is that he would give money to *anyone* who had a group opposed to *any* punishment of juveniles, for *any* offense.
That is, if a group advocated that a serial killer under 18 just be freed outright, no punishment at all, they would get a fat check from Madoff. Nothing was too heinous or perverse. Children could murder, rape, burn down occupied buildings, armed rob, etc. Repeatedly. And he still did not want them punished for it at all, or even just detained, prevented from doing it again.
And Madoff even graded such groups by the amount he gave them. If they just advocated leniency for juvenile criminals, they would just get a small check. But no punishment at all, even no arrest, just letting them go, and they would get a huge amount of money.
It’s just one other weirdness that can be attributed to many leftists. No idea if it is universal among them, though.
geez conservatives that look at Obambi’s record forget how much he has “evolved” as a great and wonderful OZ leader. Give it up looking at his past is about as helpful as tryting to get rid of Reid or Pelosi. Take on figts we can win like cutting out waste in order to reduce the size of geovernment.

Yet another exemplary model of Obama’s leadership ability.
If I walked into a school with a coat hanger and tried to kill kids he would have no problem with it.
If the Lyin’ King wished to purchase a gun legally, even with today’s laws in place, he would not pass even the most casual ID procedure.
