John Heilemann has exposed the sneering, sarcastic face of the liberal media vis a vis their conservative colleagues. On today's Morning Joe, New York magazine editor and Game Change co-author Heileman made no effort to conceal his contempt for Cupp, a conservative pundit and co-host of The Blaze on MSNBC.
The subject was, in the context of the recent NRA ad, the use of presidential children in politics. Cupp asserted that all president's children have been misused in some way. She then let herself be drawn into implying that President George W. Bush's children appeared in ads by liberal groups. Whether her claim was correct is an open question. But the vituperation with which Heilemann responded was nothing short of breathtaking. "I'd like to see that ad. Yeah: have your 'research staff' work on that. It doesn't exist." Heilemann coupled his sarcastic comment with a contemptuous sneer.

Watch John Heilemann jump ugly with S.E. Cupp. Think he’d ever dare do this with a liberal woman pundit? Ping to Today show list.
S.E. Cupp has more testicular fortitude in her pinky than this weenie has in his entire body.
Any conservative that goes on MSNBC gets what they deserve.
The Bush twins were on the front pages of tabloids all the time and their having Secret Service protection while they partied was always criticized. This would make it to the Sunday shows. and who can tell one of them from a DNC ad?
I gotta give this flamer a pass on this one, Mark. He’s contemptuous, and it’s rightously so, since I believe she misstated and was wrong. We’re as contemptuous when liberals mislead or misstate.
I’m just glad leftists gave Palin and son Trigg such a wide berth and handled them kindly and politely./sarc
I like S.E. Cupp but think she blew it big time. The ad is not about the presidents daughters. The Left is trying to (and succeeding ) to distract from the powerful message by lying about it’s target (s). I wish she pointed out that the ad is about Obama and Dims in general castigating the NRA for even suggesting armed guards for schools when ALL OF THEIR CHILDREN HAVE THEM.
One would think that the co-author of "Game Change" would not have forgotten so quickly about the savagery unleashed on the Palin children.
The Presidents children ARE ABUSED....
Their father is a pathological LIAR... and their mother is a DRONE in the HIVE...
Two of the best examples of WHAT NOT TO BECOME...
Little chance their minds have not been BENT...
The President: Look at all these kids I’ve brought in to watch me sign away their future gun rights. See? They support me. So should you.
NRA: The president and other DC elites protect their kids, why can’t you?
Big Media: HOW DARE the NRA bring children into this.
0bama is the child abuser here. pResident 0bamugabe was on TV less than three hours after the Newtown shooting happened demagoguing his gun control agenda using the blood of those babes as his prop.
Spot on - the ad is not a criticism of Obama’s kids; they didn’t ask for armed protection, and nobody begrudges Secret Service protection for appropriate federal officials and their families. It’s about liberal hypocrisy, and conservatives make a tactical mistake when they accept the premise that something like that is an attack on the children.
If they sprung that crap on me, I’d counter by saying jackwads like Obama and Emanuel do all they can to derail school choice, even to the point of terminating a DC private school scholarship program, but they make sure they send their kids to private schools. And that’s not a criticism of the kids, who don’t chose their school - more power to them if they get to go to Sidwell Friends or the U. of Chicago Lab School - it’s a criticism of their parents, and their parents alone, who live by a set of rules that they make sure is different than the ones that apply to the proles.
I hope Obama’s kids get all the armed protection they need - I just want my school district to be able to do the same for our local kids if that’s their choice, and I just want to be able to do the same for mine.
She is an avowed atheist, but does a better defense of Christians in general than any of her team members.
Pray for her.
