MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. — A 5-year-old Pennsylvania girl who told another girl she was going to shoot her with a pink toy gun that blows soapy bubbles has been suspended from kindergarten.

Her family has hired an attorney to fight the punishment, which initially was 10 days but was reduced to two.

I just saw this on Yahoo, and thought it was a joke, some of the famous FR satire. No such luck!

Time to get rid of the school board, fire the superintendent and get people in that will make reasonable rules and decisions.

Weed out the administrators and other school personnel, then tell me it’s blue. I’ve lived in this delightfully redneck land for quite a while. The school output tends to be blue, their brains having been smothered by the system. There are Democrats, to be sure, and many think that rich folks didn’t get that way fairly. Too many like to drink too much, and the college graduates say “it don’t,” and nobody lets their dog roam free anymore, but...I find most of the adults, by far, are BC types. Bitter clingers.

I have to drive out to Danville or Bloomsburg to find liberal pinheads in profusion. Did you know that in Bloomsburg, antique dealers have to submit their business records to the local police? Now, THAT is blue behavior.

Or take the animal shelter where you have to agree to a home visit, and a few dozen other demands, to adopt a stray that they’ll shortly euthanize because no one measures up to their standards. That is also a blue thing.

Oh, well, I feel my BP spiking now. /rant

I read this article this morning...the thing is, the child didn’t even have the toy on her, so she was suspended for her speach.

Seems to me there is a lawsuit here waiting to happen.

I would walk in that school finger shooting everyone. I would make such a big joke about it, if there were kids around I’d make a big fuss playing cops and robbers with them. If I could get a kid to shoot me back I’d roll on the floor dying. If I ended up in court, I’d start finger shooting the people in the court room (not the judge though, gotta have some respect for his position).

But then that’s me I guess.

I checked your post #30.

It is obviously one of those "scary" assault weapons.

Sure you can get the “scary” gun with a silencer but stores have run out of bubble mixture...

"30 bubble “clip!”

"Clip" or "Magazine"?

"bummer...speech...not speach....blah..."

"Speach" comes under one of those "penumbras" things.

That was settled by Supreme Court. Roberts dissented.

A guy in a nearby county walked into a school with a part of a 2 by 4 on which he had written the word “GUN.”

He was arrested.

I was torn about what should have been done. On the one hand, it was ignorant on his part. On the other hand, it WAS a piece of wood.

The world is too effing crazy some times.

“I’ll bring the popcorn! “

Thank you, and that is exactly what I’d hope for. Lots of people “eating popcorn” laughing at the spectacle and how ridiculous it all is.
