He’s simply a prisoner of the Iron Laws of History, or perhaps a product of the Correlation of Forces.
He recognizes that the Capitalist Roaders have no future in the Party, and that to Crush the Heads of the Running Dogs will inevitably lead along a Shining Path to a bright future.
