...After all, not only was she an excellent speaker, she was beautiful, athletic, and had a good-looking husband, who apparently was squeaky clean (or we would have heard about any gossip) and who was very supportive of her.

NO DITTO...

IS, not was...

St Louis showed up for Sarah in 2008! 100k+++ then, more probably now!

I guess words are in the ear of the listener. I first heard Sarah when she was interviewed on cspan radio - in DC to attend a governor's conference. Her clear, complete answers to every question, host or caller, were so refreshing I starting telling friends what I had heard. This was a year before McCain picked her.

Here is an example of words that just tripped off her tongue during Obamacare discussions:

Common sense market-driven patient-oriented health care --- Not health care TAKEOVER.

That is a brilliant summary and words that should have become a mantra for all Republicans. Perhaps it could have been set to a rap beat (to get the young vote).

It’s just not faaaaiiiir for one person to have so much!!!! Therefore she had to be taken down.

What we know for sure is that Sarah has not given up her love of her country. I expect that she will be doing all she can to help save it as long as she is around.

GOD BLESS SARAH PALIN. LET US SINCERELY PRAY FOR A LEADER THAT LOVES GOD,TRUSTS GOD, AND IS NOT DAUNTED BY LIES, and THE SO CALLED ENTRENCHED POWER PEOPLE...

SARAH IS SUCH A ONE. There are a few other places where she could be eminently effective ... as a Senator, I imagine she could and would sway the Senate or shame them or call them out one by one. It is a Powerful position.

Did we all forget Reagan had a gay son, a radical daughter mixed up with criminals, was a movie star and yet He WON

Reagan was a excellent President.

It is easy to be against ideas, actions, personality,

It is better to be for something, goodness, strength, faith, truth, honesty, the U,S, Constitution, and the things that made America the outstandingly great nation in the World. Amen.

Yeah, thanks to McCain’s own staff they gave her questions to prepare for those interviews that they knew were not going to be asked. They WANTED her to look stupid because when she came out on the stage that night at the convention, and a huge chunk of America realized what a treasure she was, they had to cut her off at the knees. They have NOT STOPPED since. They continually boast and brag about how they put her in her place. They should be exiled from the republican party, themselves.

McCain should’ve fired them all immediately. There was no excuse for what they did. And they continue the spiel that she is an idiot. I will never forgive McCain for the way he treated Palin by not standing up to his staff and defending the one person who actually gave him his best chance to win. And, in spite of the poor treatment, she is fiercely loyal.

And for those on this site who demean her, stating that because she quit the governorship she is a quitter...just exactly what will it take for you to understand the depths of hatred the left went after her with filing HUNDREDS of frivolous lawsuits, not because there was any merit in them, but because they knew it would bankrupt her family and cause her to be so wrapped up in it that she could no longer do her job. What about that do you NOT understand? Have you NEVER had a job that you had to suck it up over something bad so you can go forward? (Try training for nursing in NY state, passing state boards, then going to the south to work a few years later. I was harassed, they threw away my cap with my 18K gold pin, stole and destroyed all kinds of other things, said things about me to patients in my hearing, etc. all because I was a yankee!) I had to leave a couple jobs for my own sanity. I totally understand. This is only one of the things I’ve endured. There are more. At what point does one realize that there is no way forward in the climate that had been made against her, not to mention that the judges were NOT throwing these frivolous cases out, but letting them go forward...possibly because she overthrew their standard-bearer, one who was entrenched in the politics of that state and thought he owned it. The family has never forgiven her...wonder if they didn’t have a hand in some of the cases? Hopefully, you get the point. Nothing good for the state was going to come out of her staying in office. That, I am certain took a lot of prayer before making the decision. That was a bold step that not many would be willing to make, thinking it would hurt them politically. She took the risk. Think of Todd Akin, who said a totally stupid remark, then refused to step down. I think I admire Sarah Palin a WHOLE LOT MORE!

The problem, of course, is that not many people actually know who Sarah is.

She was accused of pandering for cash and self-promotion by appearing on various television programs doing ordinary kinds of things. In fact, all along, in various media, Sarah was attempting to genuinely connect with the American public first and foremost. That's what she said in different ways on different occasions.

Sarah Palin has more leadership and courage than Joan of Arc, Thatcher or the Elizabethan queen. But Sarah’s beauty is many times greater than of those women and her understanding of freedom and conservatism makes her far above these women of history

On the outside is her physical beauty, but on the inside is a beauty that is almost impossible to match..

She understands what it takes to delete the corruption.. Fix the system.. and get us all on the right track to the freedoms that the founders had created the Constitution for in the first place.

I am sorry for the treatment but it may or may not have been a Mason-Dixon thing. My daughter, born and raised in the South, encountered provocative treatment by nurses as she started her career as a CNA. She learned that camaraderie and co-worker treatment varied greatly in the large hospital not only from department to department, but floor to floor and shift-to-shift. She has since learned that it is now that way in hospitals in different regions of the country.

I hope you just drew the short straw that time and things are better now where you work. But remember, not everyone who lives in the South is a Southerner and not everyone who has a job in a hospital is called to be a nurse.

But, Senator Marco Rubio is, also, for amnesty for illegal immigrants, and this is unacceptable to anybody with any kind of commonsense! Amnesty for illegal immigrants will ruin the U.S. “big time”, while, also, help to make sure that the left wins all future U.S. elections, for the long-term! Look who is praising Senator Marco Rubio, lately: The Wall Street Journal. Where does the WSJ come down on amnesty for illegal immigrants: They are FOR amnesty for illegal immigrants! Coincidence? I think not!

The elitist republicans are the ones that are hurting the party. If Palin were to run, Rove and his ilk would attack her and her family. Maybe she needs to get a post as Secretary of State??

I remember when Mitt was getting the smack down 24/7. Mitt’s boys were asking for the rank-and-file to help defend him.

Sorry Mitt/GOPe. After what you did to Sarah (08 and Giffords shooting) you can just swing in the wind like a dead duck on a barbed wire fence.

We may “forgive” but we don’t forget.

Let me give a clue. After the Gifford’s shooting can you name me any prominent GOP member(s) (not counting talk radio or the blogosphere) who stood up and defended her on a national format?

GOP leadership? Governor? Senator? Congressman?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?? Bueller?? Bueller??

(Jeopardy theme commences)

The only prominent national figure that defended her was noted attorney Alan Dershowitz (over blood libel charges).

Unfortunately, Palin didn’t connect with the entire Republican base

You mean the GOPe power brokers? With the rank-and-file, she did and still does.

My friends at the GOP convention were very miffed that she was given the bums rush and not speaking at the event.
