A lawyer and former Assembly member, Segerblom now chairs the state Senate Judiciary Committee. He said he will introduce bills during the 120-day legislative session to prohibit the sale of assault weapons and restrict the size of ammunition magazines to fewer than 10 bullets. He said he also wants to prohibit the sale of armor-piercing bullets and require background checks for gun sales in all instances, including gun shows.

What are the chances the bill would become law?

Odd how the real title of this:
“NRA event for Nevada lawmakers draws criticism”

Got changed to the title you used:
“Nevada Senate to intro “assault wep” ban”

How the hell does something like that happen, I wonder?

“About zero chance.”

Exactly. This bill isn’t going anywhere. He might as well introduce a bill to fund a peanut farm on the planet Mars.

From now on, call it a "DEFENCE WEAPON" ban!

That is what it is!

I prefer to call it a ban on “MODERN SPORTING RIFLES” and “FULL CAPACITY MAGAZINES.”

“...armor-piercing bullets...”

Body armor? Armored vehicles? Both?

Hey, rktman, why did you change the title of this article? That’s a NO-NO!

Exactly! Changing the catch phrases in the debate is absolutely essential to holding off the gun-grabbers.

I also think we need to constantly refer to our government as a cabal, tyranny, or dictatorship. We've let them run the table on name-calling and it's hurt us. I've come to the conclusion that the only way to truly get Americans on our side is to scare the crap out of them. Find some way they're going to personally suffer from loss of freedom and they'll circle Obama like sharks on the hunt.

Weren't all these perps on Facebook? Shouldn't we then ban Facebook accounts or Twitter? And the video games, huge influence. Let's start campaigns against "Facebook violence", "Twitter violence", or "Video game violence" and watch the sheeple go nuts.

I wasn’t aware that you couldn’t input your own “header” to an article. Sorry if i violated a rule but it got your attention didn’t it? LOL! Went to the gun appreciation rally down in Carson City. Good turn out. Several hundred pro gun folks with lots of honking and thumbs up from by-passing cars. Talked to one of the Assemblymen and he “assured” us that the aforementioned legislation will NOT pass. But, we need to keep up the pressure.

I input the header to get your attention. Didn’t know/think that was an issue since the actual article was linked.
