“But low info voters like yourself like exciting headlines.”

Dittos that. It seems the most uninformed are comfortable
with, “We can’t have it both ways - there is always going to be winners and losers.... in all circumstances.” BS.
Spineless support spinelessness it seems.

I’ve long since learned that most people both conservative and liberal don’t have a clue what their congressman is up to unless it gets a headline. I see letters in the local paper every week complaining that our congressman isn’t doing anything because he’s never in the national news or making a fire and brimstone speech somewhere. I know what my congressman is up to because I make the effort to know instead of taking the easy way. I follow him on twitter, I subscribe to his weekly updates, I keep in contact with his local office...

The fact is that some of the best congressmen in Washington are the guys we never hear about and some of the worst are those we see all the time. (with exceptions both ways) Thaddeus McCotter was one of the best speakers in DC but his record didn’t really match his rhetoric. I agree with my congressman better than 90% of the time and he has a long standing record as a cost cutter.
