Has she gone goofy?
No and my gov (WI)Scott Walker is being urged to do the same. Have to know advantages and disadvantages before I jump into this.
WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD
Many states are presently funding Medicare/or state healthcare plans (in WI it’s Badgercare) for those people at that below poverty level. If it shifts the level of funding requiring extra state taxation from the state to the country it may have some benefits. The democrats here in WI under a previous governor (Doyle) had Badgercare exclusively funded by cigarrette taxes which of course is going broke. It was also supposed to be supported by the smoking settlement funds which like the road funds went into funding teachers and state union pensions. These were huge funds worth billions which all went to balancing previous state budgets. Brewer is probably going through the same thing Walker is with Nappy being her predecessor I’m sure of it.
I don’t know much about her administration but I’ll bet that’s the case.
Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer To Raise Taxes To Pay For Obamacare Medicaid Expansion
That's as real as it gets.
