President Obama’s response to the mass murder in Newtown, Connecticut, reeks of opportunism and hypocrisy. It was, is, a callous, coldblooded, heartless effort to take advantage of a horrific event for political gain.
Prior to the mass murder in Newtown, Obama and the Democrats paid lip service to the issue of gun control in the U.S. and basically ignored it and stayed as far away from it as possible because there was no political advantage in taking it on and because taking it on could have hurt them substantially politically. Virtually as soon as the first shot was fired Obama and the Democrats tugged on the nation’s heartstrings and began advocating for gun control as loudly and forcefully as they could. Not only was that callous, coldblooded and heartless, it was also transparent and despicable…taking advantage of childrens’ deaths for political purposes…it doesn’t get much lower than that.

Obama is a racist. 500 murders in Chicago alone, almost all minority black and recent Mexican. Way over half the murders in America come from blacks. Obama doesn’t lift a finger. But when whitey gets shot at school or at the movies, he is instantly outraged and righteous in his anger?

I disagree with the premiss of this article.
I think obammy and his cohorts have been gun grabbers forever-—the school shooting in CT just stepped it up a bit.
Do any lawyers here know exactly what the law is when a sitting President takes the oath of office “to protect and defend the constitution” even when he is doing the exact opposite? Attacks it, trashes it? I just thought it was completely ridiculous yesterday when he took the oath with a straight face when everybody knows this guy is doing everything he can eliminate the 2nd amendment. Doesn’t that immediately put him up for impeachment? Treason charges? Not that any of that will ever happen being that we no longer have a Republican party.
Never let a crisis go to waste. They have been waiting for an event such as Newtown to happen and are striking while the iron is hot. To them, Newtown was nothing more than an excuse for them to move on banning weapons. Unfortunately, they used a terrible crisis to exploit their plan.
If an assault rifle wasn’t even used in the murders of those children and teachers, why ban assault weapons?
