Sheriff John D'Agostini has made his voice, and his opinion, in regards to the President's gun control proposals heard. And we can't thank him enough! He, and all the other pro-gun sheriffs will have our support and encouragement, as they take a stand in support of the Second Amendment.

It’s nice to see a lot of Sheriff’s Offices across the country rallying around the Second Amendment. These sheriffs — particularly in rural areas — understand that as a practical matter a gun is a citizen’s only protection given that a law enforcement response could be a long time away, and a citizen’s life and safety depends on his or her ability and right to use a firearm in self-defense.

Freepers need to find out where their sheriff stands on this and if they don’t support the 2nd then run against them, a LOT of sheriffs actually run unopposed, so it should be a LOT easier to replace the bad ones than runnign for any other office out there...

I have swam out to the island five or six times, once at night under the stars. A Dixie-style paddlewheel boat comes around.
Imagine a Sheriff’s SWAT team greeting some ATF/FBI at the airport. It could happen. (Think Maricopa County AZ).
From my understanding my sheriff is for gun-control. I think it is about time to move to a county like El Dorado with a sheriff with balls against Obama’s Gun Control.
The Solution is not to move, the solution is to run against him!
Ever since Sheriff Richard Mack told bubba clintoon to take his Brady bill and shove it - and then fought it all the way to the Supreme Court and WON - he has been educating Sheriff's across the country as to the fact that THEY are to TOP LAW in the country - as the top law in their counties/state.
They CAN tell the federallies to take a hike.
Looks like a lot of sheriff's got the message. Mack had brochures for people to buy and get to each and every sheriff in their state -

Let's get every sheriff in this country on board with the staunch sheriff's that have already stood up - they need hundreds MORE or they may simply be mowed down.
We need also to contact - get a group together - our state Sheriffs assoc., and make sure THEY are aware of the LAW and demand they state their stand on it - will they uphold the law and protect us?
This is the gun grabbers Achilles Heel! This is the ONE place each and every one of us can ACT. But not tomorrow. The iron is hot TODAY. The window of opportunity is TODAY.
Let's get our sheriff's on board - get their stand for or against - and have THEM sign a letter - AND get to your local papers/stations and urge them to do a story. If they refuse, write a letter to the editor outlining where your sheriff stands. PUBLICITY. Evil cannot stand the light of publicity. (Write letters to every paper anyway, in addition to seeing your local sheriff. The more people that are aware of the law, the more will stand up and fight these wannabe dictators.)
This is within OUR power to stand up and be counted. Go to your sheriff - get some friends together and go as a group. That will get their attention.
This is what our REPUBLIC form of gov’t is about. EAch individual CAN be heard! Own gov’t is meant to be from the individual citizen first - to the politicians last, as they are there ONLY as OUR representatives to carry out OUR wishes...not theirs.
We take it back now - or lose it forever. The window is narrow. DO NOT WAIT = order Macks bulletins - or print out the law from his site and get to your sheriff - do not just ‘call’ - it must be eyeball to eyeball. And better if you go as a group...or a few representing a group. And mention that you want to know their stand before you put anything in the paper. “In the PAPER?” that gets their attention.
LET”S GET HELP FOR THESE SHERIFF'S THAT ARE STANDING UP - especially the ones that are alone in their state - the enemy will break one loner - but if he has others beside him - it's a different story. Will YOU stand up and be counted???? If not, and we lose, hang your head in shame forever.
