I hope this guy sues the cop in civil court and takes every dime he will ever make in his life

“I hope this guy sues the cop in civil court and takes every dime he will ever make in his life”

The fact that this went this far is testimony that more confrontations are inevitable in the future unless the police begin exercising better judgement and treat their employers fairly. I would have cited the driver at most and that would have been the end of it based upon what I saw. And yes, the tactics fail! This ties up the citizen’s time and money and lawyers fees are cost prohibitive for most people. Besides, the cop won’t lose a dime but the taxpayers will and they are not the ones overseeing the police department. My opinion? You don’t want to know.

This guy might sue and he’d likely win but it’s the poor taxpaying
citizens who will foot the settlement costs. The badgemonkey will
keep his job thanks to his union and he will suffer NO consequences.

Problem is, not everyone has the means (money and time) to persue a lawsuit. Having said that, Hopefully someone will kill the cop and get him off the street, so he won't assault more good people. Yes, it's come down to that.
