‘Monsignor Meth’: Priest Accused of Drug Dealing, Having Sex in Church Rectory

It’s just like Breaking Bad, but replace the mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher with a prominent Catholic priest. Monsignor Kevin Wallin of Bridgeport, Conn., is facing trial for selling up to $9,000 of methamphetamine a week and has been relieved of his ecumenical duties after superiors learned of his alleged penchant for gay sex on church grounds.

The 61-year-old was suspended from duties at Bridgeport’s St. Augustine Cathedral in May as a result of his increasingly erratic behavior. “We became aware that he was acting out sexually — with men — in the church rectory,” Brian Wallace, a spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, told the Connecticut Post. A source also told the paper that Wallin allegedly enjoyed dressing in women’s clothes. However, the monsignor continued to receive a stipend from the diocese until his Jan. 3 arrest at his apartment on drug charges, according to a report in the Connecticut Post. (The diocese denies any knowledge of alleged narcotics peddling by Wallin.)

Maybe Child Molesting Priests are really common all over the US but the data on the Diocese in the Sandy Hook area is STAGGERING.

No telling how many victims there really are and how many lifes ruined....and how many victims there are of those victims.

"And sources told the Connecticut Post Wallin may have laundered drug money through an adult video store he owned."

That adult video store should have been a clue

“But Wallin, who worked as a personal secretary to Edward Cardinal Egan for years when Egan was Bishop of Bridgeport, told parishioners a different story, one said.”

As one poster here has said, it’s almost like that area recruited child molesting Priests.

Or maybe the Vatican just sent them there.

Well “Rectory” does sound a lot like “rectally” doesn’t it?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/01/22/monsignor-meth-kevin-wallin-the-kinky-priest-who-sold-meth.html

Diocesan officials had been shocked enough by the reports of cross-dressing and of visitors of similar inclination as well the discovery of what were described as “unusual sex toys” in Wallin’s residence. Now there were allegations that Wallin owned a store that sold such toys along with XXX videos. Even worse, he was charged not just with using drugs, but also with selling them, and on such a scale he could spend the rest of his life in prison.

And this was not just any priest in any archdiocese. Wallin had been the longtime personal assistant and closest confidant to Edward Egan when he was bishop in Bridgeport, the two of them often going to see Broadway shows in New York. Egan had continued the archdiocese’s tradition of shuffling priests accused of sex crimes against children and of discounting the pain of the victimized. He reviewed the file of one priest named Laurence Brett, whose many young victims included 10-year-old who had been violated by being shown a crucifix and told that if he did certain exercises he could have abs like Christ.

Seriously. Like a ton of bricks. When God asks why I haven't been to church in awhile, I'll just mention this kind of thing. Fix this and I might think about it.

Hang him high.

I won’t be praying for him.

He made his choice, and worse he is one studied in Theology, sworn to Celibacy, and is not ignorant of what he did.

He is worse than a Judas,he has destroyed lives while in the guise of a committed clergy. A Monsignor no less.

We all know that the Monsignors, Bishops and even Cardinals are picked from the ranks of Priests and I have long suspected that some of these higher ups had ulterior motives for hiding Homosexuals in the Priesthood.

It is time the Church stopped telling us to stop owning guns, stop trying to stop amnesty, and telling us to approve of Obama care and started clening their own house no matter how high up they have to go.

Many things are in action to destroy Christianity today, The ACLU, the fight against school prayer, the fight against the Bible, it is unimaginable that the Church is destroying itself by not putting a stop to Homosexuality in it’s midst.

If there are not enough straight Priests to perform the duties of Pastors then close the Church’s rather than put people like this in them

These things put all priests in a bad light. They leave parishioners suspiscious and they shake our faith.
When we need to nourish our faith in these troubled we have the devil working in our Church.

Actually, the first Inquisition was initially internal, affecting only baptized Catholics and aimed at investigating immorality and unorthodox teaching primarily among the clergy, although it spread rapidly outside of its original scope once political forces and powerful individuals discovered how useful it was in attacking their “enemies” and successfully coopted it, particularly in Spain.

The Inquisition was also active in the New World, with headquarters in Mexico City and Lima, Peru, and the main focus was the clergy. A number of them were put to death for immorality (either homosexuality or sexually abusing the native peoples), enslaving the natives, or syncretism (dabbling in Indian witchcraft customs). Now that’s an Inquisition we could all get behind...

It really is disgusting AND EVIL

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/world/europe/25vatican.html?pagewanted=all

“In 1993, with complaints about Father Murphy landing on his desk, Archbishop Weakland hired a social worker specializing in treating sexual offenders to evaluate him. After four days of interviews, the social worker said that Father Murphy had admitted his acts, had probably molested about 200 boys and felt no remorse.”

I can appreciate how you feel, but the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ parted company more than 1000 years ago! Let me remind you also that you can’t bargain with Jesus, because even a Marine Corps Veteran has no leverage. You need Jesus, He doesn’t need you.
