A man who lost his nose to cancer is growing a new one on his arm, The Belfast Telegraph reported.
Scientists are using the unnamed mans bone marrow cells to grow a new nose on two nose-shaped scaffolds in the lab. Professor Alex Seifalian from University College London told Focus Magazine that an extra nose is being made just in case someone drops one.
Once the noses are fully grown, one of them will be implanted in the skin on the mans arm, which will give the nose some skin.

This will make it easier to follow the Obama administration’s advice to sneeze into your sleeve.
Anyway, more power to him. Look forward to the day our wounded warriors can grow new limbs, noses, and faces.
Toot, toot!;-)
Good for him, it’s almost miraculous really but I don’t need any pictures. Really
Two are being grown and he will have pick one, will he have to pick his nose in public?
Could this be done with Boehner and testicles?
Sorry, no...it requires the consent of the subject. Boehner prefers no T’s...that might stop his tears and cause hair growth on his face (and back).
As a child of the fifties, mouse ears meant something totally different.
Hopefully they won’t place it too close to his arm pit.
he probably won’t submit to having a pair hanging from his arm
You owe me a new keyboard. And fresh nose. As well as the bottle of Liebfraumilch that came out of it.
When I was a kid....about 40 years ago, my next door neighbor kid blew a hole though his hand packing gunpowder into a home made rocket...when it blew up...
They attached his hand to his stomach to grow enough skin to cover the hole...I saw it in the hospital with my own eyes...
I always wondered if he had a hairy palm later in life
True story...
Yeah, but it still wasn't about the ears:
Poor thing, she's not doing well these days.
Freepmail me if it is too risque.
Mouse ears were those souvenirs beanies kids who got to go to Disneyland wore.
That might be a good place for a nose. Then you could pick it and no one would notice.
Oddly enough, my father has lost his nose to cancer. He looks positively disgusting.
That said, I would rather your experiment be done before any consideration on my father’s part!
