'My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die.'
The infamous line from 'The Princess Bride' has been repeated the world over by fans of the cult classic but some Aussies on a Qantas flight on Sunday didn't appreciate the humor.
Wynand Mullins boarded his Sydney flight wearing a T-shirt with the movie quote and was asked to change his attire after his fellow passengers complained that they felt threatened.

No where in my post did I say I was scared of this guy. I said that given the desire of terrorists to bring down planes it might be understandable that some people were. ( clearly I wasn’t scared... I wasn’t on the plane!)
And yes REALLY.... he does need to grow up. Just because you have the right to do something doesn’t mean you should.
And how would people who have never seen the movie or heard the quote know that???
So can a Turban Wearing Muslim wear that shirt on a plane and sit next to you now and you think nothing of it??? Not even for a second.
No. I didn’t miss the point.
You are a perfect example of people who hyperventilate over nothing.
So it’s okay for a Muslim wearing a Turban chanting Alla Akbar to wear that shirt and board a plane while you are on it????
And you will not have any problems with it.
I’d like to meet the guy who thought this was a really good idea.
If not, then your analogy doesn't fit.
I'd be more concerned about the thugs running around wearing the TSA monogrammed shirts before I was anywhere near concerned about some dude wearing a t-shirt with a silly slogan on it.
Question is, why aren't you?
It is inconceivable that a subset of words in a longer quote set off such a panic. The people who created the problem are probably stupid enough to start a land war in Asia.
I’ve never seen the movie ... only bits and pieces and only after I was familiar with the quote. I would’ve laughed outloud at the shirt.
So by your same logic ... is it okay to make a Muslim remove his turban because a passenger feels threatened?
You keep using that word ...
I don't think it means what you think it means.
You should make one with a pink bubble gun that says, “fear the bubble.”
It does fit.
Nothing wrong with wearing a Turban.
Nothing wrong with a chant to god.
Nothing wrong with a shirt that says Prepare to Die.
Therefore, you shouldn’t have a problem with it
But you would ,wouldn’t you.
And if a Muslim Turban Wearing person sat down next to you and didn’t say a chant to God with that shirt you would still have a problem with it, wouldn’t you.
So it all boils down to it is a WHITE GUY with the shirt.
Well, again, many many many many people do not know that is a movie quote and people who kill others come in all persuasions.
JUST BECAUSE ***YOU*** know it’s movie quote does not mean there isn’t someone on board who DOES NOT KNOW . Soemone Who is already fearful of flying.
The guy is an idiot for wearing that shirt in this environment. Of course, there are people that might get uneasy.
And he is a jackass for choosing that shirt. Like he didn’t have any others to wear for his flight.
He did it on purpose.
He probably wasn’t even thinking about it.
Or maybe one with a cross that says “Prepare for life after death.”
LOL! Good job. :)
But you have already admitted that you know the quote.
Can a dark skinned Muslim get on a plane with “YOU KILLED MY FAMILY. PREPARE TO DIE “on his shirt????????
He can leave off the name because it is still a movie quote, isn’t it.
ANYONE who gets on a plane with a words PREPARE TO DIE is an thoughtless idiot.
How about children who don’t know that is a movie quote. Who can read. Who can know terrorists take down planes.
Long I find your post threatening; you must remove yourself from posting and apologizes to all on this thread. After all it only matters that someone feels threatened. Not that a threat happened or not, only feelings.
Really, as one person said in the comments...do you think he is going to attack you with cotton fibers and ink?
50 armed police? You might be safe, but don’t bring your dog!...(sorry)
