Global Warming on Free Republic

On Monday we sent out correspondent Tom Elliott down to the National Mall to talk to the attendees at Obama's 2nd inaugural about the president's big plans to tackle climate change in his second term. Everyone he spoke with loved what they had to hear.
But when he asked about the issue on a more personal level -- whether their families often talk about climate change, whether they're personally taking actions to prevent climate change, or whether they would be willing to pay more in taxes or more for gas & electricity to help finance the eventual legislation -- their enthusiasm quickly evaporated.

What did you expect? Typical reaction from the libs. Of course, they will not be willing to pay any of their $$ to have our government repair the climate!

I keep asking myself why the climate is changing now.
Back during the start of the Industrial Revolution in the late 1900’s there was smoke everywhere. Stacks were belching smoke into the air people were burning wood and coal intheir stoves, and later in the 50’s and 60’s the cities were clouded in smog.
Why didn’t the climate change then?

These people want to “save” the world for their children. Apparently they don’t care if their monetary policies destroy the world way before climate change.

I hope the libs have noticed that they (and us) will not be asked if doing this is OK. That executive order thingy is going to get a workout.
Here in New York we already have it. It is called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative or RGGI. If you live in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont ( NJ pulled out)you are part of it too. I wonder how many of those dunce heads don’t realize they are already paying for it.

The climate doesn’t need to be repaired. It needs to be warmed up some more. I’m freezing my butt off here in Maryland.
