Trust me ‘’Mr. Rogers’’ I can appreciate that combat is more than ‘’just pulling a trigger’’. I certainly can’t know for certain because I’ve never been in combat. Those veterans I’ve known have told me it’s much more than that. But the question I ask is simply if a woman wants to serve and is found to be qualified and wants to be in a combat unit, doesn’t she have that right? It’s her country to serve and defend too, isn’t it?
“if a woman wants to serve and is found to be qualified and wants to be in a combat unit, doesnt she have that right?”
The CJCS has already said they will dumb down the standards. Technically, he said the combat commanders would have to prove they aren’t setting too high of a standard - but only an IDIOT goes to war thinking, “How low can we go? What is the MINIMUM we can get by with?”
And women cannot train up to the standard of an average male who is being trained. We already know this. A woman can be fit, but a man who trains equally hard will be much fitter.
