Another diversion: Democrats launch plan to turn Texas blue

National Democrats are taking steps to create a large-scale independent group aimed at turning traditionally conservative Texas into a prime electoral battleground, crafting a new initiative to identify and mobilize progressive voters in the rapidly-changing state, strategists familiar with the plans told POLITICO.

The organization, dubbed “Battleground Texas,” plans to engage the state’s rapidly growing Latino population, as well as African-American voters and other Democratic-leaning constituencies that have been underrepresented at the ballot box in recent cycles. Two sources said the contemplated budget would run into the tens of millions of dollars over several years - a project Democrats hope has enough heft to help turn what has long been an electoral pipe dream into reality.

At the center of the effort is Jeremy Bird, formerly the national field director for President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign, who was in Austin last week to confer with local Democrats about the project.

Mexicans do not see white cuban Cruz as one of them
Latinos in Texas voted 70 percent Obama

And 35% for Ted Cruz

Why on earth at this late date where barbarians have breached the perimeter do some of you cling to this insane and wholly refuted notion that a majority of latinos will vote for anyone with a latino sounding name

Cruz is pure cracker to them...and Rubio and his esposa mona as well

I mean really

Plain brainwashed

I wish Michael,Berry freeped

Libs can’t win when there’s voter ID in place. Something for our side to push.

There is no doubt that Texas will be a Blue state within 15 years.

There is only an argument about when Texas will turn Blue, this new Democrat initiative is trying to quicken the pace of destiny.

The situation in Texas urban centers is going to be more pronounced than almost any other immigrant gateway as the amnesty laws create permanent supermajority voter blocs on the dole. Donut holes in surrounding suburban and rural areas with taxes and fees rising well above inflation and well above the national average.

Going to be interesting to watch from afar.

Stuck behind enemy lines. Thats my life story. Even when I lived in Texas I was at UT Austin which is full of libs. Same at UT Knoxville. Been fighting these leftist SOBs (both literally and figuratively) my whole life.

“...until Americans breed ...”

I know a conservative Catholic family with 4 children. One is conservative, with 5 children of her own. The other 3 are liberal, only one of those is married and has one child.

The conservative child with the large family is the only one who turned down her parents’ offer to fund college and a graduate degree.

The problem isn’t breeding, per se. It is the eventual education of the progeny.

This is simply a “heads up” to where the next major vote fraud will occur.

"Democrats launch plan to turn Texas blue"

All they have to do is take advantage of the leftward tilt of the generational demographics, plus "amnesty".

Conservatives will play defense to the bitter end.

We could start making the state inhospitable for the freeloaders and start putting laws in place to protect the ballot, but we won't.

“The problem isn’t breeding, per se. It is the eventual education of the progeny.”

The definition of “fitness” in a Darwinian sense has been modified from producing viable offspring to to producing viable grandchildren (I guess the obvious urban mismatch had to be addressed). Where does that leave “Anglo-Americans” of today?

Not far from extinction (not in a paranoid fear-mongering way; it will be a non-violent fading away as we already see around us).
