“What are the demographics of Texas, and what are they projected to be in four years?”

Not really sure.

What I am sure about is that you cannot judge on the basis of pure demographics alone.

1. Just because there are a lot of Hispanics here doesn’t mean they are liberal. Texas just elected a Hispanic Senator, only the second ever elected and both are conservative and Republican.
2. Texas is no California. California has always been a trendy place where the “beautiful” people live and direct their misery to the rest of the populace. Texas by contrast has always been a bastion of rugged individualism, caused by its history of being its own state, its vast size, and its lack of federal interference, represented by the very low ownership of federald lands when it became a state.

This I believe is a distraction as the Dems wish the GOP to invest time and energy to defend Texas in future elections rather than to go to other battleground states.

No. California was once a place where rugged individuals came to make a new life and possibly a fortune in gold (49ers) or in agriculture and fishing. The water system in California could have never been built with the politicians who are running California now. The freeways could not have been built either. At one time San Francisco was a republican strong hold and very conservative. The change in California started in the 60's when a lot of hippies and communist started moving there. It was cemented when prop 187 was passed by the voters but declared unconstitutional by a federal court.

California gave us Ronald Reagan, and had conservative Republican governors (Deukmajian and Pete Wilson) for most of the 1980s and 90s. California was not always a solidly blue state, and the reason it is now is chiefly demographic.

Mexicans do not see white cuban Cruz as one of them
Latinos in Texas voted 70 percent Obama

And 35% for Ted Cruz

Why on earth at this late date where barbarians have breached the perimeter do some of you cling to this insane and wholly refuted notion that a majority of latinos will vote for anyone with a latino sounding name

Cruz is pure cracker to them...and Rubio and his esposa mona as well

I mean really

Plain brainwashed

I wish Michael,Berry freeped
