AMIT, Leading Charity For Children in Israel, To Hold Annual Dinner In New York

New York City --- January 25, 2013 …..The 2012 AMIT Annual Dinner, originally scheduled for November 4, 2012, and postponed due to Hurricane Sandy, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 7 p.m., at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
Hundreds of friends and supporters of AMIT from throughout the New York tri-state area and beyond are expected to attend. All proceeds will benefit the AMIT network of 108 schools and program throughout Israel, which in recent years has grown to encompass more than 25,000 students from kindergarten through junior college.
This year’s honorees are Drs. Francine and Aaron Stein of Englewood, New Jersey, Presidential Leadership Honorees; Laurie and Eli Bryk of New York City, Guests of Honor; and Allie and Alexander Luxenberg, also of New York City, Young Visionary Honorees.
The theme for the evening is “Tomorrow’s Education - Today,” and AMIT’s advances in high-tech education throughout its school system will be highlighted. Barak Avraham, an AMIT graduate and high-tech entrepreneur, will be the special guest speaker.
The 2012 Annual Dinner is being chaired by Joyce and Daniel Straus who have residences in both Englewood and New York City. Co-Chairs are Harriet and Heshe Seif of Englewood, and Judy and David Lobel and Jillian and Daniel Miller, all New York City residents. Robyn Price Stonehill and David Stonehill are serving as New Generation Dinner Co-Chairs, Elizabeth and Daniel Strauss are the Young Leadership Dinner Co-Chairs and Elizabeth Markovitch is the AMIT Future Leaders Initiative Dinner Co-Chair. All make their home in New York City.
