Either something extremely embarassing,
or a threat to someone he can’t protect.
I have faced evil, face-to-face, and his response was wrong regardless of the threat. He should not have surrendered. It would take a whole lot to balance the harm he did in one terrible day, and even Methuselah did not live long enough to accomplish that much.
Pretty strong feeling it regards his sexual preferences or proclivities in one way or another. But, who knows?
