My kitty contributes to the household. She keeps the rodents out of the pantry, and last summer while out on her leash she brought me a rabbit to stew.

Plus, she makes for one dandy foot-warmer!

One of my female cats, Maggie, was a incredible hunter. I was staying with my daughter and newborn grandson. Maggie was with me. My very uptight daughter was having difficulty breast feeding and was stressed about it. Maggie came in with a live baby rabbit and dropped it in the crib. Daughter freaked. Maggie noted the reaction and the next day brought in a dead and beheaded baby rabbit and dropped it in the crib. Big freak out from daughter. Third day Maggie brought in an eviscerated rabbit but only made it as far as the baby room floor.

My daughter was not amused by my explanation that Maggie was only trying to help her feed the baby.
