After Democrats in New York rammed a sweeping assault on the right to keep and bear arms through the legislature that failed to exempt police officers from the draconian restrictions, gun owners and even some lawmakers are planning what has been dubbed potentially the largest act of civil disobedience in state history. According to news reports, gun rights activists are urging everyone to defy far-left Governor Andrew Cuomo’s new registration mandate while daring authorities to “come and take it.”
Analysts say the legislation, passed in a frenzy last week in the wake of the Newtown shooting, represents the most brazen infringement on the right to keep and bear arms anywhere in the nation. Among other points, the so-called SAFE Act seeks to limit magazines to just seven bullets, require virtually all of the estimated one million semi-automatic rifles in the state to be registered with authorities, mandate reporting of patients who express indications that they may have thoughts about hurting themselves or others by doctors, and more.
Aside from being unconstitutional, experts on gun violence also point out that the draconian schemes are a bad idea: Studies have repeatedly shown that more guns lead to less crime, and the phenomenon is obvious across America — just compare Chicago or D.C. to Alaska or Wyoming. The mandated reporting requirements for doctors, meanwhile, have come under fire from across the political spectrum. Whether it will even be possible to enforce the bill, however, remains to be seen.
Preparations are already being made for mass resistance. “I’ve heard from hundreds of people that they’re prepared to defy the law, and that number will be magnified by the thousands, by the tens of thousands, when the registration deadline comes,’’ said President Brian Olesen with American Shooters Supply,

Presidents Obama and Bush laid the foundation for this mass resistance against laws when they deliberately chose to ignore the federal laws on illegal immigration. I said then and still maintain that this picking and choosing which laws to enforce or ignore would get out of hand and it will continue to get even worse yet.

I spent almost one hour watching that and a couple other beginnings of You Tube videos making some pretty astounding declarations right up there with the 9/11’ers that tend to believe the CIA blew up the Twin Towers. You can believe this stuff but I just wasted 45 minutes I’ll never get back. I’ll with hold my opinion and pray you gain the gift of discernment.
Granted there are a LOT of “coincidences” that don’t add up in the world from the NBPP getting off for voter intimidation, to Major Hasan growing a beard and sitting in a jail while 14 are murdered and 18 wounded for a trumped DOWN domestic workplace violence, to fast and Furious, to Benghazi to anything that takes away from the incredible debacle called our AA- credit rating, millions out of work, millions more not even looking and a nation in distress while a president plays footsie with appointed left wing commies( progressives) to the Muslim B-hood and spending not billions but trillions of our tax dollars and getting petulant when he doesn’t get his way.
There are things going on not even conspiracies. It’s in your face treasonous slander and tearing up of the constitution spitting on the founding fathers, and spitting on GOD in whom some of us trust while 53 million babies are aborted out of convenience, homosexuals and now women are hitting the front lines and sodomy is expressed as a disgusting act of freedom.
One need not look far for real live horrors our government is throwing at us daily, but the 16 murdered kids and teachers at Sandy Hook were murdered by a psychotic killer. One thing though, there WAS another person with him. Cold feet or just some voyeur?
Also there is a man who made a video in jail because the highest echelons of American”leaders( ie servants to “we the people”) because of the audacity and lies and even an advertisement with Hillary and Obama to Pakistan.
Ther are 22-30 dead navy SEAL’s no one has thought to honor their dead nor look in to why they were killed.
There is a man in jail in Pakistan, a Pkistani doc Afridi( sp?) who should be living the high life $25 million richer but he’s in jail and America does nothing.
There are some nasty things going on, but again, I question the video you linked as anything but a delusion when real children and adults died because no one wants to take responsibility to deal with a lot of danger to self, to others and gravely disabled mentally ill folks that cannot cope nor do well caring for themselves as evidenced by Sandy Hook, an AZ pile of killings, a couple presidents shot, and so many others.
There in lies the conspiracy, why does the federal and state governments feel it’s wrong to lock up these folks to teach them coping skills, normalization and deal with reality instead of playing “patients rights advocates,” when real people time and again get hurt or worse because of the apathy and negligence?

Still solid 1/3 went conservative in NYS. I was born in the Bronx. Moved out for the burbs at 15 and bought my first shotgun at 16. Dad helped he being first a marine then NYPD, bought me a 22 when I was 10. Out in the country where I hunt. Those folks could be from anywhere USA.

I lived in Bville, outside of Syracuse from 94-97 and then left for Ct. Ct is just as bad as NY. I’m 18 mos away from retiring to SC.
I’m thinking of getting a storage unit and move my stuff when I go down in June.

You’re absolutely correct! It is resistance.
We need to push back against illegal mandates.
Just because it’s law, does not mean it is legal or just.
Examples: Abortion, homosexual marriage, overburdening taxes to a fiscally out of control government, big soda ban and all this nonsense.
People need to push back on this stuff and not kneel down before the trench.

Under the winner take all mechanism of electoral politics it's as if they didn't exist. Conservatives have no voice in NY, city or state. I lived in Ithaca for 5 years and the Bronx for three. Never saw much conservative thought in either place, and that was a LONG time ago. Maybe under a new "not going to obey those stupid laws" paradigm they will have a voice - if only because the liberal herd gets thinned
