The disturbing thing is -— Mary Williams actually wrote these words in Salon (entitled: So what if abortion ends life? I believe that life starts at conception. And it’s never stopped me from being pro-choice):

“Here’s the complicated reality in which we live: All life is not equal... And I would put the life of a mother over the life of a fetus every single time — even if I still need to acknowledge my conviction that the fetus is indeed a life. A life worth sacrificing.”

Note the intellectual dishonesty in her statement. Williams and her pro-abortion ilk are not putting “the life of a mother over the life of a fetus.” They are putting the convenience and expediency of the mother over the life of a fetus. B

ut beyond that, let’s acknowledge Williams’ surrender on the truth of what we’ve all known for a long time and only the most cowardly among us pretend that they don’t know (see Barack Obama’s infamous remark that, “Answering that question with any specificity is above my pay grade”): The word fetus, just like the words adolescent and toddler, doesn’t refer to a nonhuman. It refers to a human at a particular stage of development.

According to her, “All life is not equal”. How far does she stretch this principle? Would the elderly or handicapped or mentally retarded be “useless eaters”? She says, all life is not equal, and it is OK to end the lesser value life-in the case of abortion, even merely for the mother’s convenience, so she can continue to live the lifestyle to which she is accustomed. If she really believes that, then why wouldn’t it be OK to end other lives of “unequal”, “lesser” value, for no higher reason than that of convenience to those persons involved? What’s the difference?

Do these people understand how truly evil they are? Even Hitler pretended to have some higher moral purpoe for his murder-this woman has no qualms in admitting that murder as a lifestyle choice-the convenience of her chosen lifestyle-is good enough reason to murder.
