The 60 radicals now in power are certainly trying to turn the military into something new — something akin to Chavez’s or Castros army. Gays in the military, women in combat, provisions in the NDAA, provisions in CIPSA/SOPA, the contingency planning papers which target the right — all of these things are very troubling and are designed to transform our military into a politicized progressive tool.

From talking to my friends still in the military, these changes still have a long way to go before they become ingrained... We need to fight back with all our energy. We must not withdraw from the political process. We have to keep our cool and stay in the game. The most effective thing to do right now is support those with whom we agree in national office and to ensure that we keep control of our state legislatures and county seats. The republicans have done a good job at the local level. We just have to transfer that strategy to the national level to change things for the better again.

Never give up...never surrender as Tim Allen would say.

One problem is that too many self-identified conservatives believe strongly that public officials must be with them 100% or they are ‘outta here.’ Just look at the turnout for last November’s elections. Romney wasn’t perfect, but a dang sight better for our country than the other guy who won. And who stands to make more SCOTUS appointments. These are frightening times.
