No, it isn’t related at all, but I knew someone would have to bring it up. Lots of overweight women do fine in pregnancy and lots of thin or “normal” weight women have problems.
I understand, but 400 pounds is morbidly obese. No wonder she had the cardiac arrest. I had mine when I was half that weight and I wasn’t pregnant. The strain on her heart must have been enormous. Obviously, weight issues are the responsibility of the patient, but I’m wondering how well the doctor monitored her. Did he make any effort to counsel her about weight gain and the dangers of excess weight?
My mind works very differently from most people. :)
