The reason the right is demonized by the left is because the right lets itself get demonized. There are two ways to beat the left. The first is to bankrupt it like Reagan did to the Soviets. The second is to openly ridicule it, and when the left complains, you ridicule the whining.

Of course the left is going to demonize the Tea Party because they know it’s effective.

Didn’t the right demonize OWS?

That’s the way the political game is played.

What you have to do is to morph into something else, keeping the same goals and principles. You have to present an ever moving target.

The Tea Party hasn’t gone away. But the high visibility is gone. The forms it’s taking now are in issue protests like Chik-Filet and gun rights.

Also, it’s impacting local and state elections. There have been quite a few Tea Party backed duds (Angle, O’Donnell, Akin, e.g.) but there have been several big winners (Cruz, Johnson, e.g.)

People need to study up on The "Committee for public information" It was the propaganda committee that helped Woodrow Wilson founded by newspaper editor George Creel.

Committee on Public Information

We did not call it propaganda, for that word, in German hands, had come to be associated with deceit and corruption.

-George Creel

Under Creel’s direction, the CPI sought only to repress material that contained “dangerous” or “unfavorable” ideas to avoid demoralizing the population.

The death of the Tea Party has been greatly exaggerated ...

We held most of the tea party seats we took in 2010 and picked up a few more this time around. In Michigan tea partier Kerry Bentivolio took the seat vacated by Thad McCotter.

I think the senate is where the GOP/Dem/media is trying hardest to set up a firewall against tea party backed candidates.

The defeatists among us need to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and rejoin the fight. We wield considerable power in the states.

The Left demonizes opponents because it has no case, no argument. All that is left (pun intended) is to destroy, destroy, destroy.

I don't think you can say the visibility is gone. It's the selectively blind media we have to deal with. Case in point: A thousand or so anti-gun freaks showed up in D.C. and the media was all over it, yet just the day before a half MILLION people showed up to support PRO LIFE, and nobody in the MSM covered it.

They can fluff a non event like the gun grabbers into a mountain and pretend that a half million people protesting abortion never happened.

TEA party folks are busy and distracted right now, foraging around for guns and ammo. They’re still around, motivated as ever.

`MSM demonization of all but the left’

It happens every day. Here’s a recent example. Compare the rhetoric: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2982154/posts
“One only wishes Wayne LaPierre and his NRA board of directors could be ... required to put on booties and rubber gloves and help clean up the blood, the brains, and the chunks of intestine still containing the poor wads of half-digested food ...” Stephen King
and the NRA proposing that defenseless public schools, AKA “gun-free zones,” have armed guards, like the schools of elites and other schools with armed guards. One of countless MSM articles: http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2012/1221/Armed-guards-in-schools-Reaction-to-NRA-is-swift-and-strong

Wanna guess who apologized for being extreme, unreasonable and hysterical? (Hint: It wasn’t the bologna-slicer who makes his living sensationalizing blood, brains and chunks of intestine.)
