You are right. I watched the entire video and was excited until I did some further research. I am in the process of following up on your last link.
I don’t believe that Obama was there. The VIP seats at the front (side) appeared to be empty. I agree with the context of the sermon, there was much truth to what he said, and it was indeed powerful.
However, “upon further review” it seems that there may be more to the story. From Amazon’s website:
