Raising a daughter is tricky enough. Last week, the job of all American parents became much more complicated. Not only do parents of daughters have to worry about dates to the dance, mean girls on the playground, or making sure their daughters have good academic discipline but now parents also have to worry about the idea that if there ever is a national draft again, their daughter might just have the opportunity to sit in a foxhole, wet, cold and muddy, gripping the steel of an M-4 in her chapped hands, waiting to kill or be killed.
As a responsible parent, one can’t help but wonder if there’s something they should be doing to prepare for such a scenario?
Should mothers now trade out Barbies for GI Joes? Instead of dressing up as a Princess should they encourage drills to get their girls in and out of protective armor? Should fathers start thinking about hand-to-hand combat training just in case their daughter’s rifle jams instead of playing tea party?
In high school, rather than wishing for girls to become Homecoming Queens, parent might prefer their daughters to hit the gridiron with the football team. These young ladies need to be ready to fight. A responsible parent needs to think about what is needed to make their daughter a lean mean fighting machine or, at the very least prepared to not get herself killed.
Once America figures out this new path of raising daughters, what should we now teach the boys? A young man will now have to learn a whole new way of relating to girls. His natural instinct of protecting the weaker sex has to be programmed out of him. What would happen if he were in a combat situation and he were too busy looking out for the female soldier next to him? It could cost him his life, or maybe the lives of other men in his unit.
What a brave new world America’s children are now growing up in. With this new law, parents across the country might be asking if they are supposed to raise their daughters to be soldiers while at the same time raise their sons to be metrosexual community organizers who could care less about protecting a women?
The irony is the Obama administration has done everything in its power to bend over backwards to accommodate the sensitivities of other cultures, yet when it comes to having women serve in combat, it’s a different matter.
We currently have tens of thousands of troops fighting alongside allied Afghan forces. Will women be embedded alongside them? Will Islamic nations allow American women to fight with them? Or are we destined for a day when American women will be found running across the desert with an M-16 on one shoulder and a 90-pound pack on their back all while wearing a burqa?
Call me a bad American, but I have every intention of continuing the tradition of American mothers over generations and sticking with raising my children to become young ladies and gentlemen.
I want my son and daughter to be comfortable in their natural roles that are instinctual. Women are to be nurturing and men are to be protective. Teaching my daughter to become a killing machine and teaching my son to be less than a gentleman, is not acceptable. Neither will be tolerated in their father’s or my presence.
For my children to become combat ready, I would have to rethink my parenting philosophy and adopt the President’s gender-neutral ideology. Something I can guarantee will never be tolerated in our house.
If my daughter is ever forced, through an involuntary draft, to serve in a foxhole or if my son, who already at this young age, has his heart set on the Air Force Academy, must ever follow a female Captain into battle, they will both have to undergo on the job training. Because I won’t be responsible for erasing their natural instincts toward the opposite sex.
Mr. President, let us see how you train your daughters to be ready to fight for their country in a foxhole.

My mom grew up poor during WWII and she is a tough as nails down to earth, salt of the earth lady that I try to emulate in life, but I feel I will never be able to acheiver her greatness of being a just damn great human being.
I despise the whole “I am an entitiled princess type” who think they are owed everything and who force their husbands to do the housework when they don’t even have a job.
Everytime I see a Bumpersticker on a car that says Princess this or Princess that I throw up a little bit inside my mouth. Some women out there are being raised on the lie of Radical Women’s liberation at the same time being taught to outright demand complete surrender of the male and unconditionaly chivalry because of what organs they have.
There are a LOT of spoiled shrews out there that need a few well justified hysterical slaps upside the face(pity it would be seen as abuse in this day and age).
Modern Feminism like a lot of liberalsm is an idealolgy that demands a flavor of “freedom” which is nothing but “entitlement lacking responsibility”.
I grew up on a fasrma nd was raised right, I can be very feminine but I can also change the oil in my own vehicle and try not to be entitiled burden on others.

Healthy societies protect their women. But then, healthy societies do not chop up their progeny and future, and run them down a sink.

Just remember, libs are smarter than the rest of us so I’m sure they will tell you they have this little problem all figured out and when/if the time comes, then and only then will you know what their solution to the problem is.

Why not? This country has failed to grow their boys into men. We’ve become a very lazy nation of Dr. Spock recruits whereby discipline is rarely ever shown. A kid could literally take a honking sh*t in the middle of the living room floor and 99% of parents would clean it up themselves and proclaim, “Gosh, Billy, I am SO disappointed in you. Maybe next time you can make it to the bathroom.”
Don't worry, Comrade. If you are not properly training your daughters to be good soldiers for the state, your smart meter will instantly detect that and report you!
Good article; Obama seemingly hates anything “family.” Abortion, for instance, has made our men wimps (there’s nothing chivalrous about allowing—without a good fight—the woman you impregnate to end the life of your child) and our mothers accomplices to murder. Now many of these pre-wounded by “freedom” can stand or crouch down in foxholes together side-by-side to fight the “enemy.” Which enemy? And the devil laughs...

I am 60 years old and have never met a woman like this. Most work outside the home and still do the lion's share of the housework, child care, laundry, errands, cooking, etc. And the few women who don't have jobs outside the home certainly don't, or can't, or wouldn't dare, "force" their husbands to do the housework! Nor have I ever met a man who would put up with being "forced" to do housework! I've known men who could be persuaded to pitch in and help out. I've known men who voluntarily do some, not all, of the housework because they're nice guys and love their wives. But the stay-at-home wife "forcing" the husband to do housework?
I must have been living in a cave because I have never, ever seen that.
That works right up until you actually need protecting. I teach my daughters (and sons) that you'd better expect to be SOL if you really need something from anybody ... except your mother.
Feminism is actually a Communist lie. It works like this: Draw a circle. Say, This is the People of the United States. Next, mark off a quarter of the circle with a pie-cut, say about 25%. This is the minority population of the United States (more or less). Then take the remaining 3/4's, which represents European-Americans (whites) ..... and cut it exactly in two, to represent the male and female populations of the majority. This is what feminism was intended to do. It puts the whole community, politically, into play, and it isolates the 3/8's of the community (white men) where leadership is located.
Now you see the reason for "minority set-asides", "diversity", "sensitivity training", "affirmative action" and all the rest -- it's a concerted, organized political attack on the white guys, qua white guys, as white guys, because they're white guys -- it's the ultimate racism-sexism-revanchism, aimed at neutralizing the great force for liberty and resistance to Communist domination that American manhood has been for the last 100 years and more. That is why.
Oh, and btw, if you do an online search, you will discover that Betty Friedan was a Communist propagandist before she was a "feminist", and her bio is thoroughly scrubbed at Wikipedia. You will find no reference there to her having written for years for the Electricians' Union, before she wrote The Feminine Mystique. Check it out.
When it comes to the opposition, don't assume good faith or good intentions.
Especially if you can explain what they're doing in terms of Alinskyite tactics and propaganda. Occam's Razor will then guide you to the correct analysis of their argument. If they have one. (Mostly what I've seen since Newtown has been raw appeals to emotion, accompanied by whining and screeching.)
Oh no, not just daughters. Males have had to register for the draft for quite some time. I think that ALL females should be forced to register for the draft. The older women have a place in the Infantry. They can be used to draw the enemy’s fire. Too many women have been sitting on the sidelines when it comes to national defense. They should ALL serve Obama in the Infantry. You can’t say that only a few women get the privilege of serving in the Infantry. That’s like saying only a few of the black slaves should have been freed. They must ALL serve in the Infantry. That is true fairness and equality. The females in America have for too long been denied the joy of digging a fighting position or taking a crap in a hole or trying to stay awake in the rain for three nights or having people not ask you to dance, but try to kill you. Yep, ladies, welcome to the Infantry.
