"When he goes to Camp David, he goes to spend time with his family and friends to relax, not to produce photographs," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters Monday. He said he had never seen any pictures of Obama skeet shooting.

According to CBS News' Mark Knoller, who keeps statistics on the president's movements, Obama has visited Camp David 29 times, spending a total of 72 days there since taking office.

If you think about it there should be a very short list of people who are trusted enough to be shooting skeet with any US president. After all, during the shooting you've got some visitor with a shotgun within a few feet of the President. Common sense and basic security training suggests that whoever is in that situation must be 100% trusted - not only for intent, but for plain old safety. So Dick Cheney, for example, wouldn't make the cut.

I'd like to see the list of people who have been shooting with the President, if there are more than a few people, except perhaps for members of his security detail I'd be surprised.

This non-psychiatrist suspects that Mister Obama's personality is such that if he went skeet shooting all the time, he would remind us all the time.

My guess is that he recently shot skeet (probably for the first and maybe second times) in order to give him plausible brag-ability.
