A group of sideshow drivers briefly shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 880 near the Coliseum in Oakland on Saturday afternoon while they burned rubber and did doughnuts.
Participants filmed the minutes-long stunt and posted it to YouTube. The videos show at least a half-dozen souped up cars stopping traffic.

I would have loved seeing a couple of tractor trailers come roaring through those a- holes!
I’ve never seen this type of behavior in the South, where a bunch of reprobates tie up a freeway for their own selfish amusement and a YouTube video. But I’ve only visited, never lived there.
Come to my neck of the woods for awhile, and maybe the experience of dodging gang-bangers and wannabes will change up your little mind.

We do have “mobile home estates” instead. You can’t have a trailer park with Bay Area land prices.

What the heck earned Tigerized that slam? They're not going to pull that crap in my neck of the woods (trailerpark) either. Screw the changing times.
LMAO - that’s something we would have done when I was 16-18 and we weren’t ghetto, just a bunch of kids with good cars. We used to shut down a street in San Jose for drag racing and racing for pink slips. We used to play wagers on fastest time to Santa Cruz or LA. Must be a California thing.

You’d be surprised at the expensive cars that drive in and through Oakland. I live in the area, too.
That’s not ghetto highway behavior. Large groups of crotch rockets tripling the speed limit, weaving in and out of traffic and popping high speed wheelies is ghetto highway behavior.
I was hoping for a car to get a bit out of control and take out a few of the folks videoing.
I would not advocate ever doing this, but... as an art form...

I guess I’ll just hafta remain unappreciative, then. Videos like this should be Exhibit A as to why our society is no longer functional in certain urban areas.
