Firing Soledad O’Brien would have sent the proper message towards relevance. Erin Burnett was very effective at CNBC and should have been used differently. Rachel Nichols was a great hire but will CNN really be able to find a niche in sports?
If they really wanted to be smart they would target conservatives that are starting to get bored with Fox. The best two things on Fox right now are The Five and Red Eye. On those shows conservatives can still be conservatives.
