Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) has a message for firearms manufacturers and banks under attack from Chicago Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel: Texas welcomes you.

Cruz pilloried Emanuel’s gun-control efforts and invited executives to consider the warmer, friendlier climes of the Lone Star State in a Tuesday letter to the CEOs of Bank of America, TD Bank, Sturm & Ruger, and Smith & Wesson.

Texas is more a State of mind, not just a State.

The “Texas” desire for freedom and liberty can be had where you are.

There are more patriots than 47% ers and the moochers don’t have our fire in the belly.

Cruz is just getting started. It was clearly evident from the first time most of us heard Cruz that he was something very special and sorely needed.

Yep.

Best strategy is expose his real past. It is out there if the “right people” are ready for the can of worms to be opened. Then the trail of slime will lead to his criminal enablers. The time may be near.

Great. I was thinking the other day how nice it would be to have Colt, or Ruger, or Springfield come and set up camp in Rockwall.

Wonder what portion of total US gun sales are in Texas already? We have a huge portion of privately owned guns in the US already.

You must admit that the residents of Texas do not live in fear like the residents of many NE Big Cities (and places like Chicago). Even in our cities we have good neighbors in most places in Texas.

[Cruz to Rahm] “In the future, I would ask that you might keep your efforts to diminish the Bill of Rights north of the Red River.”

Haha. Strong finish.

Yep, and you can trust our friend just North of the Red River to have the same attitude that Texas does. Our Okie brothers and sisters despise this as bad if not worse than we do.

Federalism has made America into the biggest free trade zone in the world. Citizens and businesses: you don’t need to stay.

Federalism Fascism has made America into the biggest free trade zone in the world.

Federalism is being destroyed as the chains of the Constitution on government are rendered useless.

It’s the opposite. Fascism doesn’t like free trade. It’s crony capitalism - forced unionism, government licensing, permitting and funding, etc.
