Cuomo’s High Approval Rating Falls After Gun Law Push

Playing the role of political pundit Tuesday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) predicted that his sky-high approval rating would dip in light of his successful effort to make New York the first state to pass new gun laws following last month’s shooting in Newtown, Conn.

A poll released Wednesday proved that he was right.

According to the latest findings from Quinnipiac University, the first-term governor’s approval rating stands at 59 percent—still a strong number, to be sure, but a huge decline since last month’s poll. In the December survey from Quinnipiac, 74 percent of New York voters said they approved of the job Cuomo was doing. His disapproval rating has more than doubled, climbing from 13 percent in December to 28 percent in Wednesday’s poll. …

In a state filled with constitutionalists, his rating would be ZERO, and he would be hiding from the peasants carrying the buckets of tar and the down-feather pillows.

This needs to be published far and wide to instill FEAR into the hearts of all politicians who dare to trample the rights of citizens.

If he pushed mental health legislation his numbers would go up, oh but we don’t want that now do we. That might prevent deaths and stabbings and shootings and the burning of people in elevators with gasoline and pushing people onto subway tracks and general lunatics running amok getting cops killed and everyone else living in constant danger. It absolutely baffles me the utter stupidity these politicos have, ignoring THE #1 reason for gun violence. Kids running amok, out of their minds from never having any supervision, with absolutely no penalty towards the parents. How many parents in the past 50 even 100 years have EVER been held accountable when little Lamont shoots a cop because Lamont has been allowed to run amok since the age of 5? But let’s focus all attention 1000% on inanimate objects like a gun.

.....the first-term governor’s approval rating stands at 59 percent...(down from 75%)

...I couldn't live in NY..I am having enough trouble living with whatever liberals there are in Texas.......its kind of embarrassing and degrading actually, having to live with liberals who posess such little education, talent and self esteem.

May I suggest this copy on a easy to print palmcard (index) that New Yorkers can pass around to their friends and neighbors. It’s Time To Fight Back

Yes, still way too high, but it should be a warning to governors in less Lefty states than NY that gun-grabbing is bad for your approval rating and re-election hopes.

As a New Yorker, even without the gun issue, the 59% (let alone the 74%) is astonishing. He totally botched the Sandy recovery effort.

We had massive gas lines for a week or more longer than NJ and CT and the Rockaways and Staten Island were war zones rivaling NOLA post-Katrina, despite being totally accessible by ground, the day after the storm, unlike NOLA which was under 15 to 20 feet of water.

It is truly amazing how brainwashed so much of the population is by the MSM.

He truly is following is his father’s footsteps. When Mario Cuomo was governor the NY economy was in the toilet and crime was through the roof, yet he remained largely popular and was considered a prime presidential candidate. It improved almost immediately when even a mediocre (at best) Republican like Pataki took over.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo should be guest of honor at the upcoming pitchfork and torch parade. With any luck the main event will feature a tar and feathers celebration.

59% approval rating in a state that voted for 67-70% for 0bama and a Quinn-a-pee-ak poll as well.

Its too bed that NeW York doesn’t have a “recall option “ !!

That would get his attention.
As difficult as it is to reverse legislation ,( which isn’t going to happen)
he would reconsider his race to the front of the Demorat Presidential pack for 2016 !
Citizens of New York should be tired of becomming VICTIMS of his ambitions !

Andrew Cuomo used the deaths of innocent children to push an agenda. That’s creepy - even for a Democrat. And Democrats are the folks steeped in creepy to start with - guess ‘not letting a crisis go to waste’ has hit new lows.

He’s a yuck.
