Although I sympathize with the gun range people, they need to tread lightly on banning a “government” entity from using the facility. Their permits are issued by the governments and getting into a pissing match with the ones who control you “use” destiny is not a good idea. The range could be shut down by creating an ordinance agains’t such activities. Nobody would win then.

On the other hand, if absolutely everyone simply rolled over at every new encroachment of liberty by said governments, they will simply keep going. Ronnie Barrett told CA he won’t be sending them (i.e. government agencies) any more .50 cal rifles, because they banned them. It’s high time more companies and groups started taking stands like this. “And how we burned in the camps later, thinking ... “ These guys are in some sense more heroic than Barrett was, because Barrett wasn’t located inside CA’s jurisdiction, while these guys are located in the jurisdiction of those he’s telling to go pound sand.

BS on that. Real Patriots stand their ground and don’t hide for fear of their rights being further infringed..

They need to draw the line somewhere.
And they have. Let them not forget the government works for them, not the other way around.

By outlawing all semi-auto rifles and all large capacity magazines, the city is essentially shutting down the range anyway.

May as well fight the bastards.

Judging by your attitude on this issue, your screen name describes you perfectly - You’re very “Pro Government”. I think you’re definitely on the wrong forum. It seems like you’d be more at home over at DU.

The article was, as usual, poorly written. They haven't bannd them from using the facility. They've simply started charging them for their use. You know, like the rest of us proles. If the cops want to use they range they can bloody well pay for their time there.

Therein lies another rub; gov’t ‘permission’ to run a biz, let alone WHERE to run said biz.

If not now, where they can, WHEN do they make a stand??
