Remarkable, considering the state of Sweden in WW2. Neutral country and not adverse to dealing with Germany as if peacetime.
I absolutely refuse to abide characterizing neutrality as de facto being on one side or another, unless it’s FDR’s brand of “neutrality,” which consisted of war by another name. Just that sort of idiocy, the whole world against the uniquely evil Germany and Japan stance, which led us to the worst peace ever. Hey, know what? Sweden and Germany were at peace. Everyone is not at war merely because we are.
Sweden could easily turn it around, ask us in horror “Why are you fighting with, or more like for, the Soviets. To which there is no good answer, except that Japan attacked us. But that’s another discussion.
