State Senate leader Morse -Dim, keeps on making excuses why they have not. The problems is becoming apparent that they are having a hard time getting their own D party members to go along. I've read from others that a few Dim state assemblymen ( being quite publicly ) are going to vote against their party anti-2nd Amendment bills.

They are not going to win by turning Colorado into New York state of the Rockies.

That is really good news. We also have quite a few CO sheriffs who have made statements that they would not enforce un-Constitutional Federal gun laws.

County Sheriffs of Colorado releases memo in opposition of new gun law

Wednesday’s Senate Public Safety Committee debate pitted minority Democrats who believe the bill is unconstitutional...

All of a sudden, Democrats have discovered the Constitution. :)

That’s a great letter. He spells out the bottom line very well. As for his personal confusions; as long as it doesn’t affect his duties as a sheriff he’ll have to sort that out himself on his own time. I see he was re-elected.

Yes, my sheriff signed onto that memo which eased my mind a lot. I was a little worried when I heard Chickenpooper was going to push gun control. I know we have a lot of Dems in office here and in the past CO Pubbies have not been terribly effective.

I voted for him. He doesn’t make a big deal of his disorientation. He also kicked photo radar out of the county in places he has ultimate jurisdiction.

Most people I talk to see it as a humorous side issue. Kind of a Jose - hose “B” thing.

I should have mentioned that the guy he was reportedly involved with is named Jose.

His lover's name or not I guess that would be the way the joke goes in the southwest. LOL

I read about his little peccadillo when that came around. I was also already aware that he puts himself in harms way in a big way to deal with the problem in his county with cartel thugs. A lot of people may not get how bad that situation is but I do. That's a big territory and really harsh. Lots of cover for some extremely bad men.

Great letter - I'm posting it here. The Sheriff uses the unlawful Fast & Furious operation against the unlawful Obama Administration. Heh. :-)

I think that's a big part of why he was reelected.

Pinal county is pretty big and largely rural or wilderness. it doesn't abut the Mexican border but a lot of drug traffic goes through it.

I live in Pinal County and own some vacant land there that I occasionally find evidence of illegals passing over.

The land alone can be pretty unforgiving but it sure is beautiful. Stay safe!

Good info. Thanks! But let us use the same crap on the Rats that they use on us. Ignore the fed ruling, enforce it statewide, and arrest any feds who dare come in to stop it.
