Ok, so I go buy an 80% lower receiver, build a mold from that receiver. Cast my own 80% lower, buy a milling template for my bencktop drill press, mill it out the lower on my my home mill. According to the ATF, this is the firearm. I can then turn it in. Do this about once per week, do I get a $2,000 tax credit per? That would be a tax credit of $104,000. Heck, I could make money with this.

What a bunch of morons.

This is great ... our overpaid LEO will have plenty of their own free firearms in the end.

Yeah, it could work - but you might need a manufacturer's FFL to stay out of federal prison. You know how BATFE is when it comes to re-interpreting their own regulations, including those concerning home-built firearms.

I suspect they'll put some sort of cap on the credit to prevent us bitter clingers from making fools of them.
