Student that was shot should be okay.

Wanted to make sure the story that an armed SRO immediately disarmed the student is reported.

Video Reports about the SRO are on WSBT and MyFoxAtlanta, but haven't seen an article yet.

The SRO was a retired Atlanta Police Officer.

There was a metal detector at the school too, but the shooter got the gun passed it.

Thank goodness! He probably would not have been able to apprehend the shooter with blunt scissors.

I went to public schools for 23 years, counting college and some post-graduate work.

I never saw a "School Resource Officer".

What kind of critter is that, exactly? I am guessing some sort of.......I just don't know.

All over Proggie town there is a sigh of regret of what could have been..
