Stand With Arizona
Washington D.C. politicians and their allies in the mainstream media have frantically been pushing tough new restrictions on guns and ammo magazines, trying to manipulate public opinion in the wake of the Newtown, CT school massacre.
But the Sheriff of the 4th largest county in the United States has a message for them: not in my county.
Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio told a local radio host the federal government is going to have problem if they expect him to confiscate guns from private citizens.
Arpaio told Mike Broomhead of KFYI Radio in Phoenix, Ariz. that he will uphold the 2nd Amendment rights of his citizens:
I took [multiple] oaths of office, and they all say I will defend the Constitution of the United States, Now if theyre going to tell the sheriff that hes going to go around picking up guns from everybody, theyre going to have a problem. I may not enforce that federal law.
Broomhead then asked Americas toughest sheriff if the feds passed a law banning ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, would his deputies confiscate such magazines? Arpaio answered with one word: No.
Arpaio also said he would be upgrading the firepower of his deputies, including those he has deployed to guard local schools against would-be madmen like the one responsible for the Sandy Hook rampage. My deputies, I said before, Im going to arm all my deputies a month ago I said before this with automatic weapons and semi-automatic weapons. Were going to be able to fight back. I dont care what they say from Washington.
In opposing Federal gun laws, Arpaio becomes (by far) the Sheriff with the most constituents in the U.S. to do so.
Sheriff Joe also shows his camaraderie with many other sheriffs around the country who have similarly warned they will not enforce what they believe to be infringements on the citizens 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.
Similar sentiments have been expressed by sheriffs in Missouri, California, Kansas, Montana, Utah and in dozens of counties in several states across the country.
The Arizona legislature is also considering bills to ban the enforcement of any new Federal gun laws in the state.
Sheriff Joe becomes the Sheriff with (by far) the most constituents in the U.S. to oppose Federal gun laws, joining nearly 80 Sheriffs in a dozen states.

The true Great American.
I don’t think Obama and his minions want to mess w Joe. Note how the Feds dropped that civil rights BS case on Joe when his posse proved Obama released that phony Birth Certificate?
Heck...Joe needs to be more concerned w the Michelle Malkin types who hate Joe for aiding the Birthers.....The GOP are so Amnesty Liberal now they would love to silence him
The Feds are on their own.
Bump for later.
The FED is gonna lose their people or their power. Neither bodes well for America.
Sheriff Joe is a true American Sheriff —— Tough on crime and supports the Constitution.

Smith & Wesson: Running at full capacity making 300+ guns a day - mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.
RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.
FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1st.
Remington: Maxed out!
Armalite: Maxed out.
DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product.
COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by bolt carriers.
LWRC: Making only black guns. Running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.
Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand, but are running 30 to 45 days behind.
AMMO: Every caliber is now allocated! We are looking at a nationwide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible with 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military, followed by L.E., and civilians are third in line. MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags. Do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon.
RELOADERS!
ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extras for reloading purposes....it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months.
At least you have some imagination, sadly lacking in the tiresome “tragic boating accident” crap that is a mainstay on FR.
Some LEOs will try to aid and abet the tyranny and some of them will die trying along with the people they kill. Then the gubmint will bring massive force to bear and massacre a few “hotbeds of criminal terrorists” to try to cow the People. Then all hell will break loose.
A new recall campaign is being launched against him too. No doubt funded by some of that Acorn slush money that was slipped into the Sandy Bill.
My question is this; can they do that? Wouldn't that amount to a war between local and federal government bodies?
Does anyone know?
I was talking with the sheriff of my county last week and asked him what his take was on the new BS gun laws. He told me that he would NOT enforce any new fed gun confiscation law.
