If you ever watch the movie, “Wall Street”, I grew up down the block from the Owl Tavern, where Gordon Gecko has a beer or two with his father who is a mechanic at JFK. (You can see my old house over Micheal Douglas’ shoulder in one of the shots.) The Owl Tavern really was the main watering hole for JFK workers, but we looked on them as rich interlopers, not members of the community.
