Notice that the Leftist answer to every problem is to deny some aspect of the traditional freedom of responsible people to act in their own interest, with respect to that problem. It has become almost a universal trait of the Left. They are not just against individualism & for big government. They have a pathological, knee-jerk reaction, no matter the specific subject.

It is a mistake to believe that rational discussion is always possible, even when dealing with supposedly "well-educated" people.
