With Brown out, GOP mulls Romney energy
(He's back; Mr. RomneyCARE and family for MA Senate))

"Massachusetts Republicans are desperately scrambling to find
a strong Senate candidate to replace Scott Brown,
with some even trying to persuade Mitt Romney’s wife or son
to jump into the race to avert another electoral disaster.

... Other GOP leaders also raised the prospect of Mitt’s eldest son, Tagg,
launching a surprise Senate campaign.
Tagg Romney was a close campaign adviser
and surrogate for his father and is a successful businessman living in Belmont."

did you see that I was called a liberal suck up?

That's because you, in your own words, try to gain support for liberal republican candidates.

So the romneys are going to be like the kenndys, and the clintons, can’t keep them out of the news!

I did not support Romney in the caucus but after he became the Republican candidate, I wholeheartedly supported both Romney and Ryan as anyone is better than Obama.

So you're accusing me of being a RINO because I acknowledge the necessity of electing RINOS, in certain cases to get to the magical number of fifty one to take control of the US Senate?

I assure you, I am not even close to a RINO but if I have to use a RINO to get rid of a Democrat, I'll do it.

It has been said to you a multitude of times.....

Give the people a clear choice. We need to run conservative candidates that live conservatism, not candidates that pretend to be conservative right before they're up for election.

What you have been touting on FR is a proven losing strategy. If conservatism isn't what sells, why do our more moderate candidates always pretend to be more conservative right before their elections? Why not let it "all hang out" and campaign as a liberal? Because it's a losing strategy, as we have witnessed.

Wake up!

I am only trying to point out how important it is to get to fifty one Republican senators in the US Senate? So you think it is more conservative to ignore a defensive strategy to keep Democrats out of control? I don’t. I think it is more conservative to do everything possible to keep Democrats out of the control.

That’s the ideal but it is never going to happen.

Okay, you convinced me. It's futile. Gonna stay home for now on, because what's the point after all. Never is never.

Good point, Diogenesis. Now that Romney's been roundly trounced by Obama, he can warm up his sleaze machine again and go back to attacking conservatives. I'd forgotten that he set it down after he got rid of his Republican competitors.

If someone calls you names, the proper response is not to call them names. Clarify your position. Argue it using different words. Your insistence that people answer your "51 Senators" question does not help your case. It means you are unwilling to look at alternatives (e.g. a strong conservative minority caucus).

If you truly believe that 51 votes fixes everything, why did that not work in the Clinton and GW Bush eras?

>I agree with that but it ignores the questions of how do we get to fifty one senators because it seems to me that unless we get there, government is going to continue to grow and grow and grow because our side doesn’t have the will to try to stop Democrats.

This is going to take strategy and I see a lack of a sane strategy on FR. <

If you will recall when Bush had a majority in both houses, Harry Reid et al screamed bloody murder about “fairness”, and “bipartisanship”. Invariably we would see more moderate “Republicans” caving in and siding with the democrat minority.

So, if you use strategy to elect any old moderate, in order to gain 51 votes, you are doomed to failure.

History is a great teacher.

TEAM ROMNEY.

Team Romney are PROVEN backstabbers.
= =- = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
TEAM ROMNEY and the GOPE just proved they are very effective against CONSERVATIVES or OTHER R’s.

The 3 women (BY NO MEANS PERFECT) that Rove & Co torpedoed - as much by inaction as anything - When I say the women were not perfect and probably not really MY first choice but they went up against IMNSHO vulnerable D’s...
The D’s may or may not be ‘stealing’ elections but the R establishment is doing NOTHING to override them.

This last election in MA and the ‘new’ appt by the Gov are examples of R’s being weak.

Saw the map of Ronald Reagans victory and I believe one of the problems ‘we’ Conservatives/R’s have is - however minute, just a thought - we let ‘them’ co-opt us and somehow WE became RED (sinister? more so than Blue) and they just ‘took over’ BLUE. Like I said minutiae BUT just proved we won’t stand up for ourselves. When ‘they’ have you on the run, once you try and stand up for yourself no one takes you serious.
Reid gets reelected - despite having his head up BO’s arse,
(remember BO was telling folks that Vegas was a waste of their money), that faux Marine (wannabee more than he actually was) Blumenthal in CT, the faux Indian - if nothing else accepted money for College on less than honorable conditions, a decent woman in DE not getting backing, the D’s, under BO threaten to cripple the coal industry in PA and Murtha walked to another huge win etc etc etc.

Lord knows what ‘they’ are going to foist upon us next, the D’s run a more outlandish candidate year after year...Clinton gets reelected when he was proven to be inept and a womanizer etc, Gore almost beats Bush, Kerry came way to close and though I will deny saying it (<:) they are both BETTER than BO (whose ‘only’ asset was he ‘looks good’ and doesn’t speak ‘Black’) who wins twice MAINLY because the R’s offered absolutely no viable opposition and the D’s giving away the store.

Why tear down Romney over a dog non-issue? Is that easier than pointing out the dozens of reasons that he is not conservative?

So you prefer Democrat control?

It doesn't matter if a liberal(D) or liberal(R) is in control. Both are liberals.

If the Republican party has to be destroyed to get conservatives in charge, I'm fine with that.

What you are advocating has not, and will not work. We'll still wind up with liberals in charge.

Thank you. I despise Democrats far more than I despise RINOs and I’ll do anything to defeat a Democrat at every opportunity. We don’t even know who are our enemies.
