You are lucky you didn’t get arrested for your little temper tantrum. Wow, what a big guy whaling on a strange kid. Hope you felt real powerful. I would never trust you ever.

If this instance had been my child, I would have called the police too but I also may have grabbed by own belt and whacked the clark!

This is the same mindset that cannot distinguish between an 18-year-old who comes to high school with a pipe bomb and a 5-year-old who brings a broken toy gun to show-and-tell. It's the mindset of a LAWYER, of whom this country has way too many.

"You will save money and then take the 8 year olds to the movies, the skate park, or bowling. Sheesh. It’s not that hard people."

And thus explains a majority of youthful offends in jails across America!

yeah well, there are too many lawyers, there are also too many adults willing to attack children of all ages and there are too many professors who have boneheaded ideas.

the video shows him being struck 25 times by this depraved General Dollar employee and the charges have been increased to aggravated assault. The Dollar General better have their insurance paid up.

So if your kid was acting up in a public area, you approve of some stranger beating him or her?

Well, my children wouldn’t be acting up for such a prolonged period of time as this one apparently was. And I would either discipline the child myself and if necessary, leave the store.

By the way, spanking is not a beating in spite of what liberal do-gooders have decreed.

An adult hitting a child with a belt can considered beating. And you didn't answer my question.

Years ago I had a girl friend who had an exceptionally bratty son. He frequently deserved to get his rear spanked hard. But I never laid a hand on him even though he'd punch and kick his mother who never did anything to him. You simply can't touch other people's kids.

“Years ago...”

So, did someone have to shoot him when he hit sixteen ?

I did answer your question. The situation wouldn’t have gone that far.

I guess you and I were raised differently. My parents would never have allowed us to be so uncontrollable.

She should have called the police, had the father charged. Most stores put up signs about parents’ responsibility for any damage done by their kids. And if she was injured by the thrown cookie jar, she could have sued the parents personally.

She should not have touched the kid herself.

I don’t know, I ditched her and her kid twenty years ago. Came close to marrying her at one time. Disaster averted. She had a predilection for picking up knives.

Kid deserved it. His parents said so when I frog-marched him to his house and told them all about it.

They also thanked me for saving the kid's life because he probably wouldn't ever do anything like that again.

I thought it “took a village” to raise a kid, well i guess not when it comes to punishment...

By "it takes a village" Hillary meant "It takes a highly paid government child psychologist, a stack of head start teachers and a dozen other overpaid civil servents" to raise a child. Similarly the MSNBC idiot who recently said that we have to break parents of the idea that they own their children doesn't mean that you have a share in the child too, other than the sense that your taxes need to go up to pay more for your and others' children.

I would never spank someone else's child. However I may or may not have been a little less than careful about where my feet or shopping cart were placed when someone's little darling was running around like an idiot.
