President Obama claimed Monday that a "consensus" is forming around the kinds of "common-sense" gun control measures he's pushing in Washington, in his first campaign-style stop as part of a second-term push for new firearms laws.

There most certainly is a “consensus” forming, but, not for more “gun control” and if King Obumbum could actually state a truth, the largest back lash in the history of this great Nation is forming and the day of action is coming! King Obumbum has awakened a “sleeping giant” and he and his ilk are about to find out the hard way why the American people value their “natural” rights and freedoms!

Why do you think King Obumbum continues to push for gun control, stating: “this needs to happen immediately, before the shock from Conn. wears off!” What he is NOT telling the American people: “this needs to happen immediately, before the American people wake up and figure out what we are really doing to them!”

This is nothing more than Obama and the media setting the Republicans up! Obama knows there is no way he can pass any gun reform legislation even if he had control of both houses. Obama and the Media want to make the public think there is strong support for reform but the republicans are blocking everything. He is setting the republicans up for 2014 where half the population will think it is the republicans are blocking gun reform, health care reform, tax reform, the poor economy, etc, etc, and of course the republicans will sit back like they have the last 4 years and let him do it.

My compromise. We require background checks on all transfers, but the background check is simply a check, and there is no government accessible record of what if anything was bought. No model, serial number. That’s a private matter for the seller’s inventory records, like any seller of goods.

And the system may be used by anybody for any purpose, like a quick background check on a babysitter or prospective employee.
