Tagg Romney won't seek Kerry's Senate seat

No, there will not be a Senator Romney anytime soon.

Looking to quiet chatter that he's considering running in the special election to fill newly-minted Secretary of State John Kerry's Massachusetts Senate seat, Mitt Romney's eldest son Tagg issued a statement today breaking the news to supporters: "The timing is not right."

"I have been humbled by the outreach I received this weekend encouraging me to become a candidate for the U.S. Senate," he said. "I love my home state and admit it would be an honor to represent the citizens of our great Commonwealth. However, I am currently committed to my business and to spending as much time as I can with my wife and children.

"The timing is not right for me," the statement continued, "but I am hopeful that the people of Massachusetts will select someone of integrity, vision, and compassion as our next U.S. Senator."

Have we sunk so low as a nation that we’d even consider running a complete nobody for US senator? Don’t answer that! What are we, a nation ruled by aristocrats by virtue of them having the right last names? Again, don’t answer that.

Sickening!

I don’t think the Repubs need to worry too much about this seat. Let it go... it’s out of reach. MASSholes decided to double down on marxism when they elected Elizabeth Warren over Scott Brown.

Sorry, but I gotta answer that.

They not only ran a complete nobody for US senator, but they also ran that complete nobody for US president.

And that nobody won.

Now THAT is sickening!

It sure was sickening. Even worse, the same schmucks that said Obama was eminently qualified to be president had the audacity to claim Sarah Palin wasn't experienced enough for the job. Now THAT is really sickening! Like we don't know President Obama's bona fides were paper thin? I mean, c'mon Dems. At least admit your community organizer in chief was a virtual nobody. One good speech at a party convention and the guy is suddenly qualified to by commander in chief of the most powerful country in the world? Gimme a break!

Nope. Joe Joe Joe is in the bullpen warming up to take this seat in 2 years. He’ll have been a Congessman long enough to be extremely qualified.

Smarter than his father, to avoid the humiliation. Perhaps more integrity will see him move to the Democrats if he holds his father’s views. At that point he would have a shot.

I always thought that Willard Romney should become a Democrat. It would raise the quality in both of the political gangs that are rotting this nation.
